Conservatives in Agony

Andy McCarthy, blogging at National Review's The Corner:
With due respect, I think tonight was a disaster for our side.  I'm dumbfounded that no one else seems to think so.  Obama did everything he needed to do, McCain did nothing he needed to do.  What am I missing?
You can argue that McCain is better than Obama on the issues.  That's your prerogative.  But it doesn't take a genius to understand that McCain did not do what he needed to do tonight.  He needed a game-changer, a clear "Oh shit!" victory over Obama.  He did not get that.  What he got was a(nother) reassuring, presidential performance from Obama.  The race continues on its current trajectory, and that must be scored as a clear Obama win.
