Bad Joke

McCain has already been accused of revving up racism among his supporters, and rightfully so.  In that context, jokes about "whipping" Obama - even if you mean "whipping his 'you-know-what'" are inappropriate.  Let's not forget that, not too long ago, white men used to whip black men in this country.  Anything that even remotely invokes that piece of history is disgusting and in exceedingly poor taste, even if meant to be light-hearted.
