Al Gore Syndrome (n.): a condition in which the presidential candidate from a major political party fails to win his home state in the general election and that perhaps contributes to his loss in the Electoral College.
Apparently there's a poll that shows McCain losing ground in Arizona - his home state. Gore lost Tennessee in 2000 and, with it, the presidency. Could the same happen to Johnny Mac this year?
