If I'm elected President, we're going to stop sending $700 billion to countries that don't like us very much. I won't argue to delay drilling for more oil and gas and building new nuclear power plants in America, as Senator Obama does. We will start new drilling now. We will invest in all energy alternatives - nuclear, wind, solar, and tide. We will encourage the manufacture of hybrid, flex fuel and electric automobiles. We will invest in clean coal technology. We will lower the cost of energy within months, and we will create millions of new jobs.
Apart from the "drill baby drill" crap, this sounds suspiciously Democratic to me. It's Democrats who create jobs by investing in manufacture and infrastructure. It's Democrats who are more inclined to believe in climate change, and who therefore are more likely to advocate for alternative energy. Republicans = oil, oil, oil; drill, baby, drill.
But seriously, is McCain restarting his campaign with three weeks to go by becoming kinda like a Democrat?
He can try, I suppose. He can try to "shake things up" (as Palin would say) or do something dramatic (again). But, in all likelihood, anything this jerk-off does at this point will be seen for what it is, and what McCain apparently always has been: a political stunt.
